Just wondering if any one is using the Panasonic Model: TC-P50V10 - VIERA / 50" Class / 1080p / 600Hz / Plasma HDTV

If you could give me your thoughts on this model that would be great.

Thanks,
Tim

I do not have that model but I have nothing but good things to say about the Panasonic Viera line of plasmas. I have a 42 in myself and it has been great.

I bought that model from Amazon.com for about $1500 delivered. It was our first big screen TV,so of course I am impressed with it. No complaints so far. Set up was easy, color looks great.

I went to Walmart this morning to get a Plazma TV, but they wouldn't let me charge it in my Red Cross Blood Donor Card.

We ended up going with the Panasonic Viera TH-50PZ80U.

Anyone have suggestions on a new surround sound system?

I've got to pick up some HDMI cables.

Tim,

Try this for cables...

http://www.meritline.com/3-pcs-of-6-feet-hdmi-male-to-male-digital-av-cable-28-awg---p-26865.aspx I have these and they work perfectly.

As for surround sound, I have a Denon 888 receiver with polk audio speakers and although i rarely watch tv or movies, when I do... I love this set up! (The remote is a PITA though)

Take Tomsinamerica's advice for the HDMI cable if you do not already have one. Dont get sucked in to the $100 Monster cable hype.

Yeah I did some reading on them. I didn't get that good a deal but 2 8 footers for $27 bucks.

I'll check out that receiver too.

Thanks.

I ended up getting the Yamaha RX-V665. It has the video switching 4 HDMI inputs so I can connect all my gear through that.
