Welcome to the board and MC ownership. With TX numbers and your name do you hang out at Possum Kingdom. Hey H20boy I am at PK just about every weekend, I think I have seen your boat on the lake.

I think I looked at that boat at MC Texas...Didnt demo it in the water though since they said they had to take apart off of it to put on another boat.....

Thanks for the replies, I forgot I posted this and just reposted it. Whoops my bad, my bad. To answer all the questions. I live in Granbury so I am there during the week and we have a place at P.K. on the west side close to Possum Hollow. I am originally from Graham so PK is my haven. I had to wait a week to demo the boat because the tracking fins were bent and the ECU was out of the boat.

Everything was going good until the 4th. My alt. either died, or just can't keep up with all the electronics on the boat ,but the battery died. I was able to get a jump but when the boat died again I went to restart and the ignigtion switch was spinning a full 360 inside the housing. Got that fixed and now just waiting to see about the alt.. I think the battery being completely drain ruined it too. I have 12.5v coming off the Alt but just doesn't seemed to keep the battery charged.

you have a killer boat. that boat throws the second best wake in the MC line. you will never NEED a better boat. you may want to up-size one day but you won't ever NEED to. that wake is beautiful and throws you straight up. my understanding is that the currently configured xstar is the only boat in the MC lineup that has a better wake.

Possumlover82, I have a place at Golden Cove (Sandbar), so we are not that far apart by water. We need to get together some time out on the water. Did you go to Hell's Gate for the fireworks Saturday? I was there, left right after because of the weather which is earlier than I like to leave. It was a wild ride back home.

Congrats on the new boat, it looks great. Hope you get everything worked out. As for the ignition switch spinning inside of the housing. Welcome to the club, we have done just about everything to keep it from coming loose but it always seems to. So we just keep a cresent wrench in the glove box so when it does come lose we just re-tighten and its good to go.

PKskier, Yeah I was there. I had to get towed back because of the ignition switch and dead battery problem. I love that place on the 4th.

Mullis, the ignition was tight but the key would spin a full 360 inside the ignition housing. The acctual housing was tight on the panel. The problem turned out to be my alt. is not big enough to handle the amps and other electronics on board and caused my battery to die. The ignition was just a sweet ending to it all. I have a guy building me a 100amp alt. so that should solve that problem.

I have only been running the stock ballast but Saturday I rode with a guy with the same boat sacked out. He had stock ballast plus the bow sac, a 750lbs in the walkway, and a 750lbs sac in each locker. That was the funnest wake I have ever riden. Can't wait to get my sacks now.

Nice boat. I'm from Amarillo and am thinking of coming to PK In Aug. I haven't been there since late 80's. I guess it has changed a lot. Any recommendations on places to stay? Preferably house or condo with boat slip. Thanks

Great move! We traded in an '07 Supra for our '08 X2 MC and absolutely love it!!!

BTV, Bailey's is a nice place. They just redid all the cabins, they also have a resurant, boat slips, gas, ect. Possum Hollow is the same thing, That's about all I would recomend on the west side of the lake. Those are the two nicest in my opinion. I am not that familiar with the east side of the lake, maybe Pkskier will chime in.

Update on the boat. Had a guy build me a 100amp alternator for the boat. $75, can't beat that I don't think, and it is marine rated. Also got a 750lb sack for the bow. It is so nice to be able to run the stereo, all ballast pumps at once. The wake is killer with that 750 up front. Can't wait to get more weight. Next thing on the list is adding a second battery. Gotta do some research first though.
