2003 MC X-30

Dry Weight approx. 3,300 lbs.
Tandem Axle Trailer 1,180 lbs.

So approx. weight is 4,480 lbs. dry.

That can be found right in the manual, which you can find here. (http://www.mastercraft.com/files/manuals/2003_OwnersManual.pdf)

The reason I'm asking is someone stole my hitch, and the stolen one was a 6000# and the new one is 5000# so it should be ok right?

ETA, the more I think about it with a full tank of fuel and gear I'm over the 5000# mark, so I need at least a 6000# ball.

If they stole your ball mount/ball from your hitch, they could have just as easily stole the trailer, the boat and trailer or you could have lost it all just going down the highway.
This lock is cheaper than what your going through by having to replace the ball mount and ball,
http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_6970_31840_31840

While your at it and having to buy anyway, get a stainless 7000# ball, http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_6970_200313690_200313690?cm_sp=Customer%20 driven-_-Recently%20Viewed-_-Category%20Page and for not much more money than a painted/chrome one, stainless ball mount, http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_6970_200094324_200094324. You can find them other places too that have more drop/rise if need be, I got my Bully 7000# stainless ball and Bully 9000# stainless ball mount at Walmart. You'll never have to worry or contend with rust again.

My other one was a stainless ball, no they took my drop mount and ball. My fault I had left it in the reciever (forgot about it). I picked up another drop mount, and it is a heavly reinforced one at that, sleved tube, with a a 3/4 flat mount.
