Hey all,

I've got an older HO Extreme that I need to replace the bindings on. What I don't know is if the newer bindings will still screw on to this older ski. I was thinking about getting a new ski but I really don't think I need it. I'm still very happy using this one, and with out riding someone else's newer ski I guess I'll just never know.

Third.

Wileys are very helpful. They will even make you custom plates to fit any different binding setup you want.

5th for Wiley's.

I got my 2nd ski from them 2 or 3 yrs ago, got a year old Blem with bindings for a great deal - not a lot more than the bindings alone would have been. KD Lithium, not a 36mph ski, but I'll never exceed 34, so it's fine for me.

Call 'em up.

If the problem with your bindings is torn rubber, I have had good luck making my own. I seem to tear mine every 2 to 3 years and could not find parts for OBrien bindings so I just started to make replacement bindings. Order neoprene from McMaster Carr, use the old binding for a pattern, cut them out with a utility knife and buy a leather punch to punch the holes for the screws.

For $20 - $30 you have "new" bindings. Not sure what I will do when the interior part of the binding is shot though. So far it is just the outer rubber that tears.
