Carb issue

I have a 92 Prostar 190 with the 351 HO. It has always performed flawlessly, and i do have the dual feed fishbowl 4010. I have never had a problem with this carb until the other day when i started it, it seemed to be running rich and would not clear itself. When i looked down the carb, fuel was pouring in. Would this be fuel leaking past the power valve? I'm thinking the power valve is bad as this carb has never before had any other issues leading up to this. I have read in previous threads, problems with this carb, however up till now, as said before it has ran great. Anyone else had this problem? I did order a new power valve from skidim along with a rebuild kit if i have to rebuild it.

I had a similar problem with a 4160. I think the floats were sticking.

If it's the floats then I would rebuild. I fthe 4010 is similar in difficulty to the 4160 to rebuild then it's a pretty easy job for anybody with some mechanical ability. :twocents:

Sounds like stuck floats. Given the year it is probably the 4010 carburetor which apparently had a lot of problems. EastTxSkier will probably be along to talk about his 4010 experience (which weren't good).
