I was told buy friends I should change my water separator when I do my oil change. I just bought a 2005 X10 and cannot find the water separator, can somebody help.

should be on the fuel line at the rear of the engine

It's inline with the fuel line and looks just like an oil filter. If you don't see one easily, you don't have one. What year and model is the boat?

If you use the boat a lot and it sits outside, you might need to change it that often but if it's covered or you never have problems with water in the gas, I don't think it's needed that often.

My 2004 MCX doesn't have a fuel-water separator.

I must have been having one of my spells because I never saw the year of the boat- I thought this was about an '89 Prostar.

They stopped installing fuel/water separators in the mid-'90s.

My 2005 X-10 whatabee with the MCX doesn't have a water/fuel seperator.
