My 1997 PS 205 manual says the fuel capicty is 30 gallons. My fuel gauge was reading 1/4 tank and I ran out of gas. I then went to fill the tank and it only took 22 gallons to fill it. How is the fuel pick up designed? Is there any way to adjust? Thanks in anvance for your help.

I've heard once it hits 1/4 you can't trust the gauge and you'd better be looking for a gas station.

Did you look at the tank itself to make sure it was full all the way? I have herd that on some boats the fuel pick up won't get all the gas out to avoid sucking the junk at the bottom of the tank.

I'd change your fuel filter if you haven't already now that you ran it out of gas BTW
