I have a friend that has a Sanger barefoot boat. Sometimes when I pull him at full throttle, the motor will just stall and the boat will backfire. When I back off the throttle and then speed back up, the engine runs fine. It does not do this all of the time and only happens under full throttle. It happens maybe 1 out of 5 runs. It has perfect pass GPS. Does anyone know if perfect pass will kill the engine if you reach a certain RPM value? Or does anybody have any ideas what might be wrong? Oh yeah, the engine is fuel injected. Any help would be appreciated.
