Radio Static

I installed a four channel amp last weekend to help the sound of my boat stereo.

It helped for a better overall sound, but when playing the radio I get alot of static.
The CD sounds good it is just when playing the radio.

I had the antenna mounted pretty close to the amp so I tried moving it and it really did not help.

Any ideas ?

Take some wire (preferably two piece attached via the insulation) wrap it around the antenna a few times (peel the insulation back first a bit) and spread the other ends out (clear ends). This will make your antenna bigger and may help. Quick and fairly easy.
