This is my 3rd season with my boat. I have a problem. When I either do really sharps turns or pull a tube for a while (10 minutes) the boat acts like I am pushing in a clutch. It revs up, then it engages again. Only about 1-2 seconds pass before it engages again. On Sat it acted like it was out of balance. When it cools down 1-2 hour break it is fine. Thanks for any help. My nearst dealer is over 3 hours away now.

Did you by chance check the level of oil in your transmission and also the color of the fluid in your transmission? Sounds like it is slipping when hot.

Yes I did. Level is fine. I will change the tranny oil and see if that helps. I had it changed at 25 hours. I have 75 hours now.

Tranny Fluid Shouldnt Be The Problem With Only 50 Hours On It.

I had the same problem with my 06 X-1. They told me it was the throattle mate or buddy( one of the two). They dealer replaced it for free but it still happened. I then saw post like Mccobmd's and think he may be right and have something to do with the cruise control. I decided it was too much to figure out so I sold it. I am sure you could call your dealer and they may have an idea.

If you don't use cruise, does it still act this way?
If the trans fluid level is correct, try changing the fluid and filter. (maybe filter is partially clogged??)
It sounds like the trans is sucking air on turns causing trans to slip. I'm not sure if a partially blocked filter would cause this. Maybe JimN will chime in.

Yes it still does this with Cruise off.
