Are there any skiers in the south suburbs of Chicago? I've got an older prostar but looking for a good place to ski.

Hello,

I live in South Plainfield but travel to St. Charles.

I haven't been out on the IL River in a while but I know a few of the TT members on here will join in as they frequest the IL River down by Morris and then West.

Where are you in Plainfield?

I never venture that far south either. I do just about all my skiing a bit north of St. Charles

I am just west of the village. I've been to St. Charles but I was having problems with my battery so didn't get to enjoy it. I'm thinking about going over to cedar lake, indiana where the mastercraft dealer is this weekend. Have either of you been there?

I've been there once!. Never again.
Its a small lake with lots off traffic and shallow spots. Its probably good during the week afterwork ,But on the weekends.. forget about it.
And a holiday weekend would be 10x worst.

I'll check in since I live in Plainfield. My boat is located and my skiing is done in the UP of Michigan. Been free skiing on a slalom ski for 20+ years (i'm 33) and have never had the chance to try a course and would love to try someday with any of you "locals". :)

Yes, I agree with TT. Cedar lake has a bunch of stumps and shallow spots. It does get busy as it is not that big.
