lets see your ballast (direct drive)

Just wondering what type of ballast setup you have in your direct drives. My biggest wish is that I would like to hide the bags but it just doesnt seem possible in my 97 205. There isnt even a ski locker in this ski boat:confused::confused:

I wish I had a picture of what we used to do with that boat back in the day.

We were in college and had no money. The boat was owned by my buddies parents.

We took out the back seat, and lined the back and sides with buckets of dirt and mud.

Later, we upgraded from the dirt buckets to a used water bed mattress.
We hooked the fill hose to to a self made pick up attached to the swim step. When we drove around, the bag would fill. That actually worked.

I just did a auto system and am using a straightline tube sac in my ski locker and a Fly High 750 (I think) where the back seat would be. We are 75%+ skiers, so my back seat hasn't been in the boat in a few years, so the big sack is fine there. Other option is twin 400's or so beside the motor box, but then you lose all space...

Only rode behind once, but pretty happy so far... I rode last year a few times w/rear only, and finally got to adding pumps & stuff this year - hopefully it will get used more now.

Not an X-star, but will be just fine for what I need. I think someone else on here had a similar setup, and had wake pics. I don't have any now, may get some in the next few wks. You may be able to search "ballast" or "205" or "fat sac".
