Whats the difference if its paid for?
Is there no good reason to invest the money you could have used to pay things off with? Why pay off a loan with 5%-9% when the return on that money used elsewhere could be double or triple that? For example real estate.
And why worry about it anyway. As I say,

Get what you want, not what you can afford, its the American Way.;)

Not just any Beamer. An M3 and M5!

The M5 is a nearly 400HP 4 door luxury car.
The M3 is no slouch at 333HP!
Nice rides Jeff.

Guys,
On the lift behind the house??? I WISH!

Actually, the MC sleeps at another house in the barn in the back. My other posts show the boat in the back yard of that place.

MC in SR (http://www.tmcowners.com/teamtalk/showthread.php?t=5525)

When it's nice out, I park it in the driveway here, or up at the front of the house...connected to the tow vehicle.

I took some more pictures over the weekend, but I forgot to bring the camera today. It's been a little hectic lately (crush and all).

Has quite a few miles on it, but a damn near new rebuilt 4L60E. Have a 12 bolt Moser in the garage waiting to go in, put a wet shot on it, still waiting on my stall, all the bolt-ons, hoping for low 11s

Thanks!

It's a lot of fun running the car on the track. I started the restoration back in 97 intending to vintage race the car. By the time I was finished in 04 there were numerous opportunities to run open track. That appealed to me for a number of reasons, cost is less and very little chance of me ruining another persons vintage car are a couple.

Looking through pictures last night and found these. I've owned 15 boats and this is the only one I regret selling. It' a 1978 23' Glastron Carlson jet boat. I bought it from the original owner. Was never left in the water or sat outside overnight. The 460 and Berkley pump came out of my '78 Hawaiian, which I had built to around 600hp. I sent the pump out west to be worked over. The Hawaiin would run almost 100mph, in the Glastron maybe 80mph. Couldn't imagine trying to keep gas in it these days.

ColdTurkey
04-06-2011, 10:50 PM
Mate you could end up spending more on a replica then the real deal. It all depends on how much of the work you do yourself.

My investment so far is very low in comparison to the cost of a real one (I do all my own work). I was lucky to enough to pick the body up from someone for half price (10 grand cash) and my original 4x4 I'm basing it on has set me back about $15000. I could have finished it off for a few thousand on top of that but I'm going all out... My final cost.. not a clue :)
