2000 205 19ft steering cable too long?

i ordered my steering cable today and he told me it was a 19 foot cable not sure if thats right i hope it is i just seen alot of people talkin bout they had like 16 17 ft cables am i ok or what????:confused:

figured some one would kno this and give me a simple no or yes

on mine i was able to read a part number off the housing where the gear mechanism is prior to removal and they matched it up from that--do you see a part number on yours? even if you had to remove the four bolts that hold it to the steering wheel to read the number on the top it could be re-assembled pretty easy.

I can't remember how long mine is....

That sounds about right, I did mine in my 2k 205 a couple of years ago, but don't remember how long it was. Goes all the way to the very back and then up to the steering ***'y. It was pretty damn long. good luck

If the cable is a little too long its not a huge deal as long as you don't have any hard bends in it. better a foot long than a foot short.

and i was lookin for a a part number or anything but i was lookin in the back owell it will be here in 2 days we'll find out if its right or not!!
