Hey slalom skiers, I am in the market for new gloves, what is everyone using or what would you recommend. Thanks

Cannot remember what I am using, but I recommend staying away from the "clinch" style gloves with a wrist wrap.

Another thread that might help, but not sure: http://www.mastercraft.com/teamtalk/showthread.php?t=17108

I have the Obrien SixAM gloves. They are nice. But, I would not say that they are any better/worse than other high-end gloves on the market. Just like them b/c they are bright green and it makes them easier to find in the boat.

It seems like all of the high-end (Kevlar palm) gloves are very similar to me.

Just got some Mastercurves amara palm gloves from Masterline. Nice gloves. I miss the old Overton's Pro Skins before gladiator bought 'em and cheapened them up.

Masterline K-Palm, http://www.masterlineusa.com/Masterline/Gloves_3, these gloves will last me 1.5 to 2 seasons. All the other gloves only last me about 1/2 a season. Buy one size smaller than you think, the will be tight at first, than loosen up and will be perfect. If you buy gloves that fit right out of the box, 2 to 3 sets they will be to big, and to big means blisters. For reference, I'm 6'3", 200lb with avg hands and wear a medium. The only problem is that they are so durable, I will wear through the rubber on my handle quicker than normal, maybe its the way I grip my handle.

I was thinking about getting a pair of the Chris Parish gloves, but my Masterline's work so well, I probably wont...

If you're interested in Masterline gloves, our club gets a 20% discount. Kevlar's are $48 and Curves are $40.

Masterline K-palms.

I just bought a new pair this season, I had bought mediums in the past but this year they felt too big at Medium, had to return and get some smalls. I'm not sure if they are all running big this year but the mediums felt too big.

Stuff shrinks in the pool and it's normally never a good thing. ;)

I went from the Goode kevlar which are great and still think they are one of the best gloves out. However I just switched to Pro Gear and love them. I have heard a lot of guys on tour are wearing them.

I've used a pair all summer and really like them. The only dislike is the back of the hand strap comes one out of five times.

I have the clincher style gloves that Masterline makes. I love them. But, I'm not skiing short line. Why do others not like them? I have a weaker grip and they help my endurance and cramping a ton.

I use a Masterline rope and handle but Straight line gloves. The Patrol gloves are nearly bullet proof. Excellent fit, grip, and durability.

Been using Overtons Attack gloves all season and love them. Tough and well made. No gladiator badging.

Masterlines I bought last year came apart at the seams after just two months.
