I am getting a friend's MariStar lake ready for the year. While running it today I noticed that I had to hold the throttle in place or it would slowly fall back. Makes it very difficult to maintain a certain speed, especially for my friend who is a boat newbie. Is there any way to adjust this so it will stay in place?

What year model does he have? If it's not DBW this will help keep it from dropping back, http://www.skidim.com/prodinfo.asp?number=MOR044386 or stretch the throttle return spring a bit slow the throttle back to idle.
Personally, I wouldn't use either, just keep the right hand on the throttle and control the speed like it was designed to do.
