clarion remote stock

has any one removed the stock clarion remote ?
does any one make a insert for the hole thats left
how do you remove the remote ?

i just did not want to tear it apart

why do you need to remove it? I assume you are talking about a transome remote..

i replaced all the audio with sony and wetsounds so its just not being used and i want to install a ipod docking holder there instead

Two nuts tighten against a bracket that holds it onto the hull.

I did see Sony also has a similar looking marine remote. Looks like it takes a 3 1/4" hole to mount the Sony and only a 3" hole for the Clarion.
