Well my roller on my trailer is completely in half! Going get a new one with the new pin tomorrow. Just wondering the easiest way to take off and put on the new one??? I thought I remember reading someone say they had to grind off the old one.

I just used a claw hammer. Make sure you are placing the claws on the part of the cap that has the cut out on it.

Save your old axle. The one that came with my new roller was too short. Whack those caps off with a hammer. Mine are probably the ones you read about that, for whatever reason, were a total PIA.

To Eastie's point on short axles. Getting it off is easy, getting the new one on can be tricky. My axle was shorter to begin with. With the boat in the water I wrapped the winch strap around the steel uprights that the roller mounts to, hooked it and cranked the winch to bring to two closer together, just don't go so tight that the steal binds down on the roller. Tapping the new caps was slick and easy from there.

Its a 9" roller; cant find these anywhere locally. Or are they 9"? Its a mastercraft trailer.
