Hey, I've been hauling my wakeboards around in the back of my SUV for a few years now...anyways, I was sitting at Subway and had an epiphany. Have any of you ever used Ski/Snowboard racks on the top of your SUV for wakeboards or do they make some specifically for wakeboards? If it makes loading everyone up easier (taking the wakeboards out of the equation), I'd be all for it.

Did it all the time as kids on the top on my parent's car. Works AWESOME!

I use this for surfing, it would work well for wakeboards

You rode on the top of the car? Something tells me that I shouldn't be surprised.

Yes... a few tie downs and all was good.

We used Thule ski racks and were able to fit 4 boards (botton to bottom with a towel between) up there or 4 skis inside their bags.

I love seeing those going down the freeway and the board looks like it is acting as a reverse spoiler and ready for take off. 8p

I was thinking about that too with snowboards, the bindings aren't the same...basically you take the boot off. Where I don't think a (bottom to bottom) wakeboard with bindings would fit like snowboards. I don't want to have to take my wakeboard bindings off everytime I'm going to/from the boat.

You don't need to pop binding off, you just get the extended rack feet... gives you plenty of room between the roof and the rack to keep the bindings on.

Or you could always just get one of these and throw everything in a not worry...
