I bought a used 99 Maristar 210 last fall. It is my first inboard, and also my first boat. I did use dad's old outboard Hydrasport quite a bit the last 2 years though.

Anyhow, the blue stripe is faded, scratched, and dated. I decided this winter to pull off the stickers, rub rail, and have the blue repainted. I'm going with a GM color (superior blue effect). Here is an idea of the color.

Here is a picture of my boat now.

My question is should I paint more than the blue stripe? Also, what if any, new graphics should I go with. I'm 90% sure I want Mastercraft on the back of the boat and I will put on reg numbers in the Mastercraft font. Beyond that, I'm not quite sure. What would look best?

Congrats.
I purchased the same type of boat last spring. Mine has a brown stripe. The guy I bought it from was the original owner and he had the factory change the side graphics when he ordered it. They usually have "Maristar" on the side and he did not like that so he had them put "Mastercraft" on the side. I like that much better as well. You cannot tell from the photo, but the Mastercraft logo on the tan section has a water skier in it (the skier is in the M and the spray from the ski extends the length of the graphic) .

ditto what #1 said. It's your first boat, which guarantees you get another one later. Resale will be better with original decals/appearance.

Hey just as I posted, the other post with the Mastercraft vs Maristar comment appeared. I did not know Maristar was the original. Go with the MasterCraft. Much cooler, the chicks will hyperventilate, and you will find your old/new friends who were never around before.

I like it.:worthy: Same color combo and graphics as my '99 205. Sharp looking boat. I vote to keep it original especially when it looks that good.:D

Still thinking of doing the blue like this.

I think it would look better, but obviously not stock.
