Did it at least take care of the soft spot in the floor?

Not my boat. Worst nightmare though. Too good not to pass on.

I don't think that is enough screws to hold carpet in place. I'd suggest #8 1.5 inches long in SS to complete the install.

I was doing some install work in my boat this weekend... but I planned/checked my depth of screws. Wow... I cant believe this one.... thats a one way trip to the glass repair shop!

Think that will cause more spray shortline?

Ain't no thing. Just back them out a bit, load a strip of starboard up with some 5200 and screw the starboard to the bottom. Should only scrub off a few mph on the top end.

One of the guys here at work suggested it was for better traction when ice fishing:D

Now he doesn't have to worry if his cover leaks!

You would think after the first one he would have checked to make sure before continuing? WOW!

I was wondering something along those lines and then I though was he in the water? Didn't leak or are they self sealing screws?

Maybe he didn't have a grinder handy to shape his rudder to increase pull to one side and figured a bit of drag on the hull would have the same affect.

Ouch, now that is a sad site. I agree with mlay, he should have checked after the first screw went in, or at least had someone feel the hull and told him to stop before the screw went through. I like the ice fishing joke though.

That makes me want to cry....even as a grown man, that makes me want to cry.

I guess when you do something like that you just get the checkbook, sign a blank check, take it to a glass guy, and go home and sit down with a 12-pack and watch a game. :o
