My guess (and hopefully I'm wrong) is why does the part where the cover was strapped on feel like sandpaper? It wasn't like this at the dealership.

/hope I'm wrong. C'mon Mag, don't let him do it!

You must use some bada$$ covers in Tyler. 10 years of draggin 3 different boats with covers & the sandpaper finish has never shown up. If you tried towing over the pass without one around here, your boat would weigh about 1000 lbs more when you got to your destination.

Rankin (http://www.wakeside.com/page/W/PROD/wakeboard_tower_accessories/rankin_boat_cover) makes a great trailerable cover. Mine has thousands of miles on it, the fiberglass on the boat & the powdercoat on the windshield is fine.

In my next life, maybe. Or the next boat..

Yep..... quite a few of the dealers here in the NW don't even order the factory covers. They just order Rankin covers. I probably know 10 people with one of those covers, not including my own, and I've never once heard of anyone saying their fiberglass was getting scarred up.
