Yes it is a 4" lift with all new springs and shocks! I have an 83 s&s. It tows great the longer wheelbase helps and I bought the 6spd with the tow package.

Great truck, I had the same thing (w/o banks kit) until about 2 yrs ago. Unfortunately it got "upgraded" to a minivan. Except for the fact it rode like an empty dump truck I miss my baby...
Sorry pic w/boat not on this computer

Nice looking truck, Ben. Mine is pushing about 157,000 miles and still runs like a house on fire. I've got a 4500# camper that I throw in the back as well, so I'll be keeping the big rig for a while. I've got a POS Hyundai for getting around town too. Those are some mighty low truck steps I noticed on your rig.

Yeah, I put them on when it had tires that were a bit taller. Needed to raise them up about 2", but never got to it. I had 1/2" steel plates fabricated to lover them - needed to drill new holes... Looked funny, but were very handy, I'm only 5-10". The original location would have made them all but worthless, and I'm more of a functional than style guy. Especially with carseats in the back.
4500# is a good number. I hauled a lot of stone in ours, over 4000# at a time. Made it ride really nice.
Hopefully you have a nice straight exhaust. Nothing cooler than that on top of the Banks kit. I live the whistle, expecially when you can just hear is at idle. Hopefully I'll be back in the club in the future.

I used to be straight-piped...until the damn emission guy (we have mandatory annual county emission testing) looked underneath with those little bomb mirrors. I had to put a damn cat converter on or pay a fine. It sounded like a jet engine before that. :(
