View Full Version : Fresh BLACKED out MC wheels!

My wheels were pitted and rusted in some spots. So seeing that im on a budget and love the black wheels look. Heres my solution. Also invision this with new chrome lugs which are not here yet.

Red lettering took time!!!! with a painters red paint marker gloss high quality. Im fairly close quaters (garage) for a distance shot and its raining! Ill get one up soon!

question, would they not have been easier to paint with the tires off?

probably so! but i didnt have a tire dismount machine or wont to go to the tire store! Its probably better though

You might have found the solution to my problem. What kind of primmer, paint and how many coats. That does look sharp.

Yeah my Dad likes the chrome.. He can keep the BLING on his Boat. I paid for mine and the blacker the better. "they say old guys rule" im still not sure on that one. hahahah

You might have found the solution to my problem. What kind of primmer, paint and how many coats. That does look sharp.

thats krylon primer 1 good coat. then 2 coats of Krylon gloss black. now with that being said its not the cheapest krylon on the shelf. Its the profesional.

Thanks! I like my chrome wheels too, but not crazy about the rust. Previous owner must not have cared.

I'm with ski_king. However, they do look good...............You need to polish the lug nuts!!! :rolleyes:

brand new lug nuts here today on FED EX for delivery. I will pull the boat out of the garage and take a full shot @ that time.

No, kind of like putting a nice carpet on a hardwood floor that was beat to hell for basically free.:rolleyes:

Original rims where beat up according to OP and he was on a tight budget.
