What's your favorite place, watering hole, restaurant, greasy spoon on the lake, near by, or on the way to the lake?

Post pictures of the place, menus too if you can!!!

The lake we go to the most, Cinton Lake in Illinois has a little place up in a cove by the Mascoutin access area. It's called "The Boondocks" and it's nothing fancy. There's a dock to tie up at and you can walk up and order and eat outside at picinic tables or go inside and order and eat at tables with checkered table clothes. The food is hamburgers and things along that line and if your familiar with Steak and Shake food it's that quality which is not bad. They've got a pretty good breakfast too!!!

dang... i guess it has to be one of the local mexican joints (there's three and other than a ruby tuesday's and fast food that's all there really is on this side of the river)... but monday's and thursdays its 2.25 margaritas and 1.25 domestic and 1.50 imports at "el parian" and on tuesdays its 2.50 margaritas (a better margarita) and 1.50 domestics at "rancho viejo"... and the food isn't bad either

chudson, if you ever make it down the the Lake Shelbyville area check out Howy's Lakeside its a gas station just south of Sullivan and the corner of the Bruce Findlay Rd. headed out to the lake. Best pizza ever. It will make you throw stones at Monicals or any chain pizza place. I dont know if they still have it or not but ask for the G-Dock special (the owner of Howy's used to have a boat at Findlay Marina), its layered about a half inch high will all the best pizza fixins.

Sequoyah rocks for sure but that little joint up the lake at mountan lake resort makes a killer cheeseburger platter.

On or near a Lake?

No a designated wet land. :D

I will be sure to get some pics this summer of a few, assuming we have enough water.

We have a Carlos and Charlies on the lake which usually has some nice scenery;) And some good food and margaritas. Kids like it cause they can run all over and pester the sh!t out of other patrons. :D

Few off their site.

Was up in that area a couple of years a go and my brother took us to a place called "Maynards"? I think. It was on the water and we had a great time and good food, there were alot of old woodies at the dock too!!

The Beach Club in Conneaut Lake, Pa has reopened the last 2 years. Its been there something like 60 years. A boardwalk and now has an outdoor bar to go with the indoor one with dance/band area. Lots of ski boats as we have MC, CC, Malibu and Tige dealers on a 3 mile long lake.

The next one would be West Bay Bar on Kelleys Island near Sandusky, Ohio. Looks like your in Key West, but its Lake Erie so your low gunwhale ski boat is less popular and there are hundreds of Golf Carts.

Start @ Alabama Jack's in card sound ( just north of Key Largo) and then head south. The keys have the best bars I have been to.

have to agree with Norris PS205 about Sequoyah on Norris in TN

as well as Whitman Hollow in the 2nd pix ... of course the neighbors are always great and probably some of the best dinners have been at each other's houses ... ProfessorH20 makes some incredible pizza and Prostar19's wings are fabulous

This is an easy one for me......Conch Republic Seafood Company in Key West. If you go, you've got to get the Conch Fritters for an app and the Crab Stuffed Jumbo Shrimp for dinner. The restaurant overlooks the Key West Harbor. Great view, food and drinks.

There is a Hunter's Pub here in Lafayette that is our regular after ski hangout. Awesome wraps, burgers, and salads. Beer selection is pretty good too; I'm a big fan.

Been in there many times to get gas and ice and stuff but never ate there. I will next time though, I like Monicals and if this is better that's good to know!!! You know this doesn't need to be limited to boating places cause I've stopped in at "The Thirsty Whale" and had a few beers when snowmobiling. Great place!!!

Coz,

There used to be, may still be, a place in Parker, I don't remember the name, but they had a special that was call "Wild *** Burrito". I have no idea what the name of place is, it must have been 20 years ago.

Any idea?

How are the docks at Bayside? Are they better than Maynards? I've been to Maynards and Fletchers many many times (prefer Fletcher's) but I've never been to Bayside. Mainly because I've never docked there before and I'm comfortable with Maynards and Fletcher's. I love that we have so much to choose from on that lake...

Do you happen to slip at Lakewinds? I used to live there...
