I own a 2005 ps197 that had a bad home life. So when I adopted it it needed work. The vinyl red accent stripe was bad off (pink) so i masked it off with 3m automotive paint tape and painted drivers seat throttle side to start with using duplicolor vinyl/carpet paint. It looks amazing!

Yes, SEM, http://semproducts.com/Catalog.asp?prod=190 (http://semproducts.com/Catalog.asp?prod=190), and other companies make paints for vehicle plastic, vinyl, cloth and carpet applications and they work great, are permanent and last if the material is cleaned according to the instructions and applied properly.

I used high quality 3M auto paint masking tape (green) and a credit card to push it in the seams. It took 2.5 hrs to mask the engine cover!! Less than 5 minutes to spray. With duplicolor vinyl/carpet/fabric paint. Its more like a dye in an aersol can. Yes I'm super stoked with how it turned out!! Thanks for the compliments.

Looks great!! Really well done.

Does your wife know you used all the beach towels for overspray? I'd be in some big trouble on that one.
