Can someone post a close up photo of a Holley 4160 on a 351? I'm swapping the Edelbrock this weekend and would like a photo for reference of line hook ups etc. Gracias!

1986 PCM. Does anyone know why the this carb is black? Could it be original?

Carb may be black because it came off a Mercruiser. Somebody may of used parts from another carb to make the one you got now.

Let us know how it turns out, please. I'm always interested to know if works. I'm sure I can learn something from everyone here.

It went great! Very easy. I got the old one off and new Holley on in less than an hour. Toughest part was the new fuel line. PO had cut the old and connected to the Edelbrock with 3" of rubber. The new metal fuel line had to manhandled to connect between fuel pump and carb. Once done though, no leaks! And I didn't need the fuel pump so that is going back. After cranking twice for 15 secs each to fill the bowl, it fired right up. Very slight adjustment to the idle screw once it warmed up was all she needed. I also stretched the throttle return spring, it was a little tight. On the lake was great- quick starts, smooth acceleration and hole shot. My last MC was a Tri Star, the ProStar is smaller, lighter, and FASTER! 45 MPH! It's a floating Porche!

It's good to hear it all went well. I've got to remove my 4160 today and replace the power valve from having several backfires 4 years ago when I installed EI and the electronic module was bad right out of the box. Got a new module from SkiDim and it ran perfect for 4 years till it let go, cause it started cycling from high idle to nearly shutting off late last fall on our last trip out.
