Hi,

could anybody tell me the size(especially length) of the rear compartments of the 2009 X2.
Can I put a 50" fatsack in it?
Or what is the maximum length?

Thank you and greetings from Germany,

Thomas

welcome.

don't think it will fit.

the flyhigh x2 bag is 32 X 18 X 20 and the capacity is 455lbs.

My '09 X2 rear lockers are:

22" wide
18" deep
29" long

The locker does extend beyond the 29" to about 36", but at about 1/2 the depth. For that reason I ordered the X2 specific Fly High Sacs.

a good alternative to the pricey X2 sacks are the nautique wedge sacks... they hold about 80 or so pounds less that i'm making up for by utilizing cast iron tractor weights... it ends up being plenty of weight... and you can find the nautique wedge sacks for pretty reasonable as no one ever really loads down a nautique :D

Thank you for the answers.
Yes, at the moment I'm looking for fat sacs which fit in the compartments but aren't that expensive as the Fligh High X2 Bags (189$ each).
So you recommend the wegde sacs? They are 42" long. Same length as the X-Series V-Drive sacs. Do they both fit? They both ship for 199$ (set) which is a lot cheaper then the X2 sacs.

What should I do?

i have 2 of the vdrive sacks. and yes and no they fit. you cannot fill them up to much mainly due to length.

i was wanting to get the x2 bags but thought the price was for 2. after checking wakeside you are correct. 189.00 per bag is a little high.

i was able to get them full i just put the slim end toward the front (obviously) and filled them babies up...they did tend to want to roll side to side but it was no big deal w/ the trusty MC construction

haven't yet... plan to in the coming weeks after i get de-winterized and all that checked out... i've had them in and filled w/ a regular pump once and they were a little light but the excess was under the seats and i'll just keep an eye on them and make sure they're against the back wall of the boat... if it comes down to it i'll just yank out that backboard back there and open up a couple more inches if completely necessary

That all doesn't make my decision easier...

Which fatsacs would you pick which cost about 200$ (set) and fit in the compartments? Not fixed on any brands!

Try contacting a few different MC dealers. They seem to be liquidating some of their inventory in the fat sac department. Might be able to get a good deal on V-drive sacs or the X-2 sacs. Worth a few calls. I picked up V-drive sacs brand new for $125 a few months ago.

I just talked to Bobby at max wake
He hooked me up with the rear x2 bags with all the fittings for my boat for a really good price.
He was really helpful and good to deal with.
Can't wait to have these in the boat.
