Anyone noticing a creeking sound in their ski pylon when someone is on a slalom ski. I have an '04 197 and my cousing is about 250 or so and when he cuts my pylon is creeking. I know the pylons a made to "give" a little, but I'm not comfortable with the creeking sound. I'll check bolts underneath to make sure they are tight. Anyone else ever experience this?

My friends 190 used to do it. Tightening the bolts underneath should solve the problem.

Most people just tighten the bolts at the base of the pylon. Also check the bolts that tie to the stringers.

Sounds like a diet issue.

I have had this issue on my 2005 and now on my 2008 PS197 and if you tighten the 2 bolys at the base of the pylon (where it meets the bilge) and the 2 at the top of the pylon just before it goes up through the floor, the noise should go away. They tend to loosen a bit over time, I am sure from the strain and flexing.
