View Full Version : Transom Back Splash Prevention Ideas Needed

02-26-2009, 10:00 AM
I need to install some type of device (i.e. rubber strip) between my transom and teak platform and seems like I remember some others that have done this but cannot locate the thread (may have been from last year or year before).

I get a considerable amount of splash on the sun pad which ultimately enters the engine compartment – it gets pretty bad on busy weekends at the lake when my boat is tied off to our dock during the tubing hours of 10am – 4pm.

I am a bit apprehensive drilling/screwing into the teak so if anyone has any ideas, that would be great.

P.S. I have stuck towels back there, a kids “noodle”, pipe insulation, etc. and it does not stay on very long.
