No problem with that! We need some trailer people on here from time to time anyway to keep us honest and even to advise! I've got you bookmarked anyway for reference to others.
BTW, you build some nice trailers!

I'll be back. I browse all the ski & wake boat forums that I know of once a week or at least bi-weekly. I was an engineer at MC from 91-96 (that makes me feel old) and I remain interested in their progress.

So, I ended up getting in touch with Owen and taking him up on this deal and I wanted everyone to know how it turned out.

Both Todd and Owen at BoatMate were very generous and professional with me the entire time.

This is my first boat and I had only had it for a few weeks at the time he needed it. In fact, by the time they were done with it they had possession of the boat longer than I had. Owen was very understanding and put together and signed letter stating responsibility for any damages that may occur. This went a long way to help me decide to let this happen.

Overall, I am very pleased, I recieved a basically brand new trailer. I would highly recommend working with BoatMate for any trailer needs you may have in the future, they are just awesome.

Here is a list of things they did to my trailer (which was pretty neglected), and some after pictures:

-Stripped it to the frame, blasted, and repainted.
-Replaced axel
-Replaced brake assembly with disc brakes
-Replaced wheel bearings
-Patched a hole in starboard side fender
-Replaced all grip tape on fenders
-Replaced all lights with LED lights
-Replaced all wiring
-Wired trailer with reverse lights (only brake and turn signals before)
-New bunks and carpet
-New winch
-New jack
-Swing-away tongue added
-My spare tire was shredded, so they replaced it
-Repainted all pinstripes

Looks great. Now you have to get a buffer after that gel coat so the boat looks as good as the trailer.

That trailer looks as good or better than a brand new trailer!

Yup, this is next on the agenda once the interior is cleaned up. My polishing kit from properboatcare.com is on its way as we speak.

When I picked up the boat I was surprised at how much worse the boat looked with a new trailer under it.
