Hi guys,

OK, so I'm about to take the plunge to get the blisters repaired on the bottom of my 205V.

Pretty much the whole bottom is covered.

1. Any advice before I hire someone to do the work?
2. Can anybody recommend someone in the RI area?

Hopefully, this will not cost too much.

Thanks,
beatle78

Unfortunately, not an easy or inexpensive repair. No specific rec's, but there are a fair number of options for repair from the marine businesses along the coast.

You can start by grinding the blisters down to solid material in order to start the drying process necessary before repair. Good luck. Others with more specific info will come along soon.

I don't have an answer. But I'd be calling every boat dealer and marina I could find and ask who they use. There's plenty between MA, RI, and CT. Good luck with this.

Call J&D Fiberglass (custom boat repair) 781-293-3471 and ask for John.

I won't let anyone else touch our boats but John. Located on the South Shore of MA.

Thanks jaysus! Have you had to use him for gel coat repairs before?

I also got a name of a guy that Twin City Marine(Four Winns dealer) uses, Joe Palmieri.

you wont be disappointed with his work at all. While you are up here stop by the showroom. We are only a couple miles away.
