I was at the Cleveland Boat Show opening night and took a few (actually a lot) pictures. The Boat House Marine had the following models on the floor. In no particular order:

Maristar 200
Maristar 215
X-14
X-14V
X-30
X-35
X-45
X-55
CSX-220

Here are some of the pictures.

X-14V

What is the deal with the 10" exhaust tips on the X-14-V?

they don't want surfers getting carbon monoxide poisoning... so they extended the exhaust tips past the riders... makes sense huh?

X-35. This boat is really cool. Buddy of mine that has an X-2 REALLY took a liking to this boat. I agree, it is probably my new favorite boat in the line-up aside from the 190, 197, and 214.

Yours truly in the MASSIVE storage compartment in the back. My feet were NOT touching the back of the boat while sitting in that compartment.

2008 CSX-220

I'm suprised this boat is left over in the Cleveland market with Lake Erie right there.

I put this one in here to give you an idea of how much room is left over at the Cleveland Boat show this year. It is usually packed and the entire facility is wall to wall boats. Not this year.

Great pictures, so good in fact, we won't have to go to the Central Carolina Boat Show cause the local mega dealer here has all the Bayliners and pontoons they can stuff in the space. They just bring along a couple MC's just for steps to climb into the pontoons with!

I was thinking the same thing, no need to go to the boat show now.

thank you for taking the time to post. i know it's a niche boat, but i really like that little csx 220. one thing i've wondered is, can you pull wakeboarders from the top of helm cover on the model without the traditional wakeboard tower? i always thought the answer was no, but i swear i saw a pic of one of the 09's that had a tow point up there. maybe it was just a nav light.

Ha, ha!! Good one. Probably don't have a 190!

its a shame to, but I understand why. Can someone tell me are the 197s as fun to drive as the 190s? Power turns are strong, dart through the water etc.>>>/?

The only reason we've been recently is to visit with the Coble's at their Ski School booth after we got tickets from someone who had been boat shopping and had got them validated for the entire weekend to get them back in to buy a new boat.

When we toured the factory in October we were told you could wakeboard off of the helm. Thanks for posting Captain. I have never been to a boat show, looks pretty hardcore.

Your welcome. Judging from the number of views it would appear people have enjoyed the pictures so it was worth the time to post them.

I have some pictures of some of the competitors boats that were at the show, mainly CC's. If anyone wants to see them let me know. Some of the things I saw and took pictures of were for comparison; dashes, towers, storage components, etc.

me and a good friend were talking the other day... it's funny how boat shows have changed over the short time we've been going to them... given we're only in our mid-20s... but we were both talking about how our first few boat shows the inboard dealers only had pictures of boats w/ towers and now a tower is slapped on everything there... Cobalt, Bayliners, Tahoes... its just funny to see how an image and a certain look has taken over the industry... people buy boats w/ towers and never once hook a rope to it

Thanks for the pics ... Boat House Marine does a great job and the Cleveland show has shrunk over the years. Sweet boats ... and nice to see a little of everthing on their floor.

Why are the x-14v's exhaust tips so long?

Not sure, maybe they reduce engine noise? The 2008 boats are loud!

Boat shows are going to be a thing of the past very soon. I just got back from a weekend at the Milwaukee boat show and they were saying attendance was down 15-20% over a 4 year average. People can see every boat at the show without leaving their computer and can save some money in the process($8.00 per ticket, $5.00 parking, $7.00 turkey sandwich, $7.00 beer). I also think you could walk into a dealers showroom and get the "boat show price" at any time. I remember going to the show in the early 90's and there was people everywhere. That is not the case anymore. I can't blame dealers for pulling out of the shows. When you consider the cost of the booth space, electricity, wireless internet, set-up and tear down expenses, employee costs to work the show, etc. it really adds up. To go through all of that effort and sell two boats (like the booth next to us) does not make sense.

Thanks for the pics

My guess is that the tips have to extend to the end of the transom. Note the portion of the hull that extends that far. Probably some California Air Resorce Board legislations. You know how those Californian's are :)

I'm thinking of going to the Columbus boat show, but I should have thought that the Cleveland show. I can't imaging the show will be as good as that looks.

The Boat House will be at the Columbus show, however I don't know what boats they will be bringing with them. You could call them and ask.

I'm hoping MC engineers can figure out a way to put that reversible seat on the next generation 197's. It might have to be 1/2 of the normal size bench and have 1/2 fixed. My wife and father in law (old school) hate riding the lake (cruising) and looking backwards. I'm trying to picture how they could do it for cruising since no one would have to walk around the engine cover. So when it's time to sky then flip it over and turn around. It makes you wonder?

Does anyone know if the ski rope gets caught in that low spot? Or does the angle of the rear of the boat prevent it? It looks like it could be an issue.
