But will the president still be able to get warranty work done when General Motors goes out of business? I mean...surely they can't last 8 years...

300,000 . Just under $400,000 at today's exchange rate. Still not too bad.

still in the design phase... they're thinking "blades" will give a good look but send the wrong message to kids and "bullet hole" rims would just not send the right message either... they can't figure out how to send a message for "change" on a set of dubs

personally i think they should go w/ something like this...

I am curious about the blood thing- the shelf life is just over a month for whole blood. Does this mean OB1 gives blood each month? It would make better sense to carry the same blood type for him or even O-, like #1 has time to give blood every month.....

Who starts the infusion??

If they freeze his blood, it would make for a hard transfusion. They'd have to thaw it and I venture that would take time he'd not have if it were so essential for him to get a transfusion.....

That vehicle still has vulnerabilities. An MRAP costs about $1M a unit and I guarantee it is more hardened than the Caddy, yet we have unfortunately lost US service persons while riding in them.

While I can't confirm this, I have a hard time fathoming the Secret Service outsources PSO driver training to the CIA??

I would suspect that they have to sacrifice some armor to avoid having some poor guy running along side of it with a 5 gallon can. I recall Bush's new (at the time) Caddie getting something like 8 miles per gallon and I think that one was still a car base. Maybe the truck base does better.

As for the details, that whole drawing is about as speculative as anything. I was reading a few articles on it this past week and nobody had any information other than 5" glass and truck base. They were willing to speculate as to things like the oxygen and typical armor stuff. But that's it.

I noticed the CIA thing too. I didn't know they had a driving school. Cool.

I noticed the CIA thing too. I didn't know they had a driving school. Cool.IIUC, the Secret Service has a driving school too, as part of the Rowley Training Center...perhaps BriEOD knows for sure. I find it hard to believe that the Secret Service would be willing to rely on the CIA for anything.
