Hi Everyone,

I'm new to the forum but have been a proud Mastercraft owner since 1996. I bought a 1994 Mastercraft Maristar 223VRS boat for my family 13 years ago and its great! Best boat ever!

But I like to tinker and just got involved with my new project hope you check it out sometime at:

http://shakennotstirredgt150.blogspot.com

Its a replica of the boat they used in the James Bond movie Live and Let Die it should prove a fun project! I'll be keeping my Mastercraft as well LOL

Best,

ALAN

Live & Let Die has always been my favorite Bond movie. Got to see the house in Jamaica where they filmed the final shark scenes. Always thought Solitare (Jane Seymore) was smokin in that movie. Have fun with the restore.

My new project is a replica of the boat they used in the James Bond movie Live and Let DieThat that, you can attempt to build one of these ...

I gawked at, er, ah, saw her, yeah that's it, I saw her at LAX in about '04 when I was coming home after the holidays and she definitely didn't look her age.

adwjr, cool project. My boat before my MC was the same glastron. It actually had a great ski wake. Fun boat, and a real conversation starter at the dock.

There was a time when that was my dream boat!

My dad had a V-153 Glastron with a 100 HP Johnson. I tried to talk him into the GT-150 without luck.

I put may hours on that boat and even learned how to barefoot behind it the old fashon way, without a boom and many crash and burns.

Did you see the episode of Mythbusters where they Jumped a GT-150?

Yes, I saw it I liked the idea of them doing it but they messed it up good it wasn't even a gt 150 but it was entertaining.

I posted a thread on their forum inviting them to cape cod to jump my boat when I'm done. LOL

Now you just need the "pimp mobile" to tow that Glastron!:D
Good luck on the project and keep us updated. Big Bond fan also.

"What are you......some kind of doomsday machine...boy?" I wouldn't let anyone touch that boat after I got it restored.

I suspect that the Octopussy name is visable on the side of the boat to keep people from realising that this is really the maiden voyage of the 300.

The day after my father saw that movie he walked into the dealership in Houston, TX and bought that same boat. Here's one of the only photos I have of it here. Young me hanging out in it in the driveway.

Very cool! I notice the steering wheel with holes in the spokes its why I choose the wheel I did. Year is definitely a '72 but the '73's were out at the time Dad must have made a nice deal. The movie boat was a 72.

Cool stuff if you find more post them plz.

If there are anymore they're in my mom's attic back in Mass. It'll be quite a while 'till I'm back there to check it out. I'll ask her to scan anymore she may come across, but she doesn't get up into the photo albums that often.

The house I'm sitting in front of in that photo burned to the ground while we were out of state (arson) and we lost a lot of the early photos/home movies. This is one of the only photos of that boat I can remember seeing, but there may be a couple others, but not much survived.

I have that exaxt boat sitting in my driveway! A good friend of ours keeps it at our house for storage - she and her kids use the boat 3-4 times a summer on our lake. Good little boat and fun to drive - She has a merc on the back of the this one.
