Today I cracked the removable chine on my 2000 PS 190. Does anyone know about how much a new one is going to cost? :(

The chine is part of the hull. Are you saying you damaged a tracking fin?

I guess the key question is "what is a removable chine"? As mentioned, the chines are part of the hull mold. If yours is indeed cracked...that's a big deal and means a significant hull repair.

Maybe he's talking about those add-ons to the 98-01 prostars (i think???), weren't they called "hydrorails" or something similar? Were added to the hulls to improve wake characteristics on boats of that era.

Call your nearest dealer, and if no luck, try Mastercraft owner relations.....

EDIT, found a thread:
http://www.mastercraft.com/teamtalk/showthread.php?t=22753&highlight=hydrorails
Jim@BAWS had access to them at that time......

If you are talking about one of the three tracking fins underneath (in the center), I know one on my old ski nautique cost roughly $60 5 years ago. With the way metal has went up, I would guess it will be close to $100-150 now.
