I'm selling my 1996 Impala SS so I can buy a new waterski... or maybe some upgrades for the Prostar. This car is a classic. It's all original, with new tires. Here's a pic and there are more pics and description here: http://panamacity.craigslist.org/cto/978791789.html

BTW, we're selling the van too if you need something for the family or a new work truck: http://panamacity.craigslist.org/cto/978814276.html

I wish. But I've been dreaming about getting one of these as a replacement. Challenger SRT8. 425 HP.

I can get you a great deal on a challenger.......

How great? I'll need a sunroof and either the SRT or RT.
Actually, we're looking for a great deal on a new or late model Avalanche with 4WD and sunroof. But a smoking deal on a Challenger may convince me to keep the old Tahoe for a while longer.

the 96 is the most popular year on these, because of the floor shifter. I used to have a 94 which I sold with 90k for 10 grand in 2004. Back then your car would have been worth $14k easy. These cars must have taken a hit with the rise of gas prices. Too bad. Good luck with the sale.

Shepherd-

You may want to post your SS over on the 94-96 Impala SS forum. I sold my 96 383 SS over there last year.

Why? I thought that Nomad was the best thing since spam. :D What would you get?

I was just kidding about the new ski, though a new RCX may be even better than the RC.

We're going to try to sell the Impala, our van, and our Tahoe and get a newer car and tow vehicle. We don't need 3 vehicles. I'm also thinking about putting the Harley up for sale. New cars/trucks ain't cheap! My dream driveway would have a new Avalanche LTZ and a new Challenger SRT8 parked in it. Of course, the Mastercraft would still get the garage. :D

Thanks for the referral to the Impala forum Prostar Rich. I didn't know it existed.

How about the new Obrien Elite? $2,499 MSRP. That should burn through some $$$ for you.

I'd go for THIS one! Hurst HEMI Challenger's 572 hp and 528 lb-ft.!!!!!!! Since I always wanted a Hurst/Olds...and GM was retarded enough to kill Olds, I gotta have a soft spot in my heart about this and wonder what could have been. Regardless, this Challenger is nasty!

Shep why are you wanting to sell the Harley?

WOW, that Hurst is something!

I was looking over the Challengers at the local dealer and it seems like the RT is a pretty good value. For nearly the performance of the SRT it's a lot less money.

Go get one and report back!

Shep why are you wanting to sell the Harley?

I just haven't been riding it much. Can't carry my ski on it.
But my wife, of all people, wants me to keep it. There must be a secret life insurance policy I don't know about.

That Hurst Hemi is badass, but I'm with you 3event. The RT is about $10,000 cheaper and you're only losing 50 hp. It also gets better fuel mileage. If I bought a Challenger it would probably be the RT.

Well, if you get really interested in changing skis, I think I could let my '05 monza go for the right price. :D

I kinda miss my old Monza. I can honestly say I never had a boring pass on it. Every one was different!

That's why I posted the link too. I figured if one pic does it justice, then 56 ought to be THAT much better. The amount of emblems on that car are quite excessive, but they have been excessive on almost every car that Hurst ever worked with, lol! I guess they REALLY want you to know what you have ! :D

I was watching the Barrett Jackson auction this past week, and the girl that was the spokes person for Hurst, was auctioning her 79 Hurst Olds for Charity.

That must have been last years or part of this years preview, http://www.barrett-jackson.com/eventschedule/default.asp,
Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Event - Scottsdale, Arizona - January 11 - 18, 2009

I looked through the first couple days listing of cars to be auctioned and someone has got some clean up work to do. They have some that are worse than some used car lot cars and a bunch of GM Corporate experimental and concept cars gone bad. Anybody want a red belly Ford farm tractor?
