I'm going to be down in Houston tomorrow night for the Bears vs. Texans game on Sunday. Family wants to go to authentic BBQ, anyone have any recommendations? I keep reading about Goode Co. Anywhere else?

I am a Chicago transplant living in Dallas. If you were up more this way I could show you a few good places.

Go Bears! Hopefully with a win and a little help we will be in!!!!!

Houston has great places, Goode company BBQ, Really good is on richmond just inside loop 610 Luling city Mkt. Brisket is some of the best and get a ring of their sausage its tops.

Goode Co. is on Kirby and 59 1 block south and 10 min from the stadium if that. Many others but these are close and goode. :D

TX -30 pretty much summed up the best places with signs and names.

I never ate at Drexlers place and another off downtown in the 3rd ward packs them in but I never had the chance to try either.

You should really try ninfas on navigation, top notch mezzkin food.

We ate there during the Rockets/Nicks sweep. I didn't care for it.

We went for lunch at Hugo's, which was awesome. For dinner we went to Goode & Company BBQ and it was also very good.

On another note, I think TX has more 1 ton or lifted pickups per capita than anywhere else in the world.

What didn't you like about Ninfa's?? Was always very consistent when we lived there. I must admit we liked going there on the mild hangover Saturday and of course started with a margi. If your willing to try again give the carnitas a look see.

Not Ninfas. Ninfas is awesome (second to Molinas, of course). I was talking about Drexlers.

Whewwwww I thought I was adopted from Michigan there for a minute and didn't know good mexican food.

Molinas rocks, also a great magarita just be careful with those little bullets.

Carne asada there is about as good as it gets.
