I don't own one but it looks nice :headbang: You'll probably be able to hit a deer with that, just breath in, hold and slowly squeeze 8p

I have Ruger 30-06 and find it a very versatile rifle. Haven't hunted in a while since I am lazy and don't want to clean it.

I have a Remington Model 700 Mountain LSS (http://www.remington.com/products/firearms/centerfire_rifles/model_700/model_700_mountain_LSS.asp), its about the same weight as that, I just like the laminate stock and SS barrel. Hence LSS: (Laminated Stock Stainless).

great rifles ... they have some of the best looking stocks around. Check out cdnn.com in TX ... i've bought several rifles from them and they have terrific deals ... you will have to ship it to a gun dealer in your state but that's easy and they can help. Its best to just call them and see what they have and ask for their specials. I got my first Weatherby Fibermark rifle (.240 Wby) for $600. There are so many calibers its hard to decided ... my favorite is my .270 Weatherby. With a Barnes triple shock bullet the 30.06 is hard to beat too

I love the look of the LSS.

If you're in the wood stocked rifle market and in the 7lb range, its a no brainer.
