I have a 2002 X30 with the 5.7 Efi V-8...The starter went bad and need to replace (had Kragen's test it to confirm)... can someone confirm if this is the right starter, it looks exactly the same as the one I pulled out...:D

chefred- read the other thread. Take the old one in to have it rebuilt and tell them it's for marine use. That way, you don't need to worry about whether it's the right kind. It'll probably be less money, too.

You may want to contact a moderator to have them move any replies to your other post to this one, to keep two sets of answers from being given.

Thanks for the info Jim...I'll check on getting it rebuilt as well and compare...
