We signed the papers yesterday for a new X14. This will be our first boat with a tower. Our son is really stoked ...and well so am I. :)
Big thanks to Corey/Andy @ Midwest Mastercraft for all your patience.
Can't wait till spring.

Going with the MCX again?

We test drove the MCX with a 1:1, it had plenty of power with ballast filled. I was worried though.
The Canadian Blue does not show up very well in the design boat function.
should look similiar too....

That Canadian Blue metal flake looks AWESOME. The x-14 that is in the photo is at Bay Area WaterSports #3 214V off the line. It drives AWESOME too

Hey Jim, what's your thoughts about the 14V?

My thoughts are that even if it ski's as good as the 14DD I prefer the layout of the DD. The interior is enormous. I'm not knocking the 14V in any way other than to say I think the DD interior affords more space.

What engine in yours? I drove the 14V with the LY6. A little sluggish out of the hole compared to the mcx DD.

The V Drive has ALOT more room than a DD

It drives and handles fanastic. For a v-drive comparison, the wake size comparison
205DD to a 205 V you can see a difference. There is NO DIFFERENCE from what I saw
This boat is going to be a hit. The motor I ordered is the MCX.

Being a how driver. I even found the V-Drive able to do a powerturn. I had Chris Wingo and Zane in the boat when I did it WOW

I think it has more floor space, but not as much practical seating space. I just think the DD stretches you out a little so everyone is not on top of one another. They just function a little differently.

Me too, while trying to see if the bow was easily submersible. Verdict - not as easy to stuff as 197.

Congrats! Sweet looking boat! You're going to love it. I've owned four boats now and this is the first one that has given me absolutely zero reason to want another boat. It's simply a great crossover that keeps the entire family happy.

Bet you can't wait!

It's phenomenal. If you get into real shortline, the rope will hit the rear tower legs though. (I don't) It's very close to the 197. I went from a 197 to the X14 last year.

Here's a nice evalution of the wake from a year or so ago:

Very nice looking boat, Its been a long cold winter, but were hopefully headed in a different direction. Its going to be around 40 deg in Chicago today? Does that mean its up 60 deg from the -20 the other day and we now can hit the water.
Hang in there Sully its going to be warm soon.

Sully, I saw your exact same color scheme on a 14 when I toured the plant in October... it was tight. Enjoy... I am in the same boat as you, waiting for the lake to thaw.
