Had an opportunity to go up to the Crows nest of the highest (or 2nd highest) bridge in Ga. this morning to snap a few photos. After a 40 minute climb up a straight up ladder system, this is what I got to see. Shoulda used the regular lense on my camera, but NO, I had to put the big boy on. So you really can't appreciate just how high up i really was. But great pics just the same.

Very cool, reminds me of my dad... he climbed towers for Voice of America.... I went up one once with him, its funny when you get about 3-400 ft in the air how much steel and concrete will sway.

Flat isn't the word for it and if you go thru the wetlands near Savannah on I-95 about 3am in the morning, the paper mills in the area put off a smell, like a elephant pooped in your A/C vent! It may be better now, or at least I would hope it's better!

Great pics. You were a ways up there! I'm not big on heights myself. I'm okay if I'm contained, but if there is a chance of falling, I don't like it.

As I said earlier, if I had my regular lense on the camera, it would have looked a WHOLE lot different! The big lense didn't do the height any justice. Just to tell you, the whole time I was standing on the top of the crows nest taking pics, i never once stood all the way up! Stayed crouched down the whole time. I'll also get another chance to go back up when the workers go in to run all the conduit for new lighting. Should be real soon.

I don't think those lower Georgia elephants are that potty trained! Probably large rolls of paper towels!
