Will these fit the 08' - 09' towers with some sort of adapter? Or is the can different from 05' to 08'?

on my 06, the cans mount right up to the tower bar. on 2007 and 2008 models there is a stand-off that goes between the can and the tower bar. The contact surface of the can is cut-out (dished) to fit the profile of the towerbar. I am not sure if the cans above have that cut-out in them.
The next question you may need to know is; if you buy the stand-offs, will they fit into the cut-outs on the cans? or are there no cut outs on the 2007-08 cans?

Tfox... do your cans have a fish-mouthed cut-out in them?

The '07 & '08 speaker cans have a circular cut-out that fits onto a spherical piece mounted to the tower. This allows you to swivel them and lock them down. The '05 & '06 speakers had a oblong cut-out that was designed to fit directly against the tower tubing. So to fit the '05/'06 speaker to a newer tower you will need an adapter. I believe that you can get an adapter from your MC dealer.

i have four of the adaptors for sale also. i mounted four 2005 cans to my 2008 xstar tower. the adaptors allow for swivel and tilt. i have my speakers swiveled out somewhat and slightly tilted up to accomodate for the boat when it is in the running attitude. this way the speakers aren't pointing down into the water 30 feet behind the boat. i tilted them enough to where they are now shooting directly towards the rider plus they are swiveled out into the flats so that there is no dead spot when you are outside the wakes. works as well as it possibly could. still, however, i wish i had wetsounds that reached farther and were louder when riding. there is still no competitiion, however, when it comes to who's cans and billet grills are the best looking. the MC/Gere Marie cans and billet grills are the sharpest looking set-up out there. the sound is more than adequate but far less than Wetsounds pro 80's and they don't completely run you out of the boat (in the event you have someone playing Barry White).

CRAIG3972 - I prefer to sell all 4 speakers togther instead of splitting them up, but if they dont move after a couple of weeks i might take you up on that.

tr6coug - you are correct the 05 and 06 can mount flush up to the tower and yes you can buy adapters for the 07 and 08 towers.

PM me if anyone is interested.
