I have decided after reading threads like this one (http://www.mastercraft.com/teamtalk/showthread.php?t=27530) that I am taking my own theory and elevating it to a principle…so without further delay...ladies and gentlemen may I introduce you to the “McKenzie Principle”

McKenzie Principle (founded late 2008) states: The more you owe the less likely you are to fail.

Simply put, by owing enough money society is unable to let you fail as it cannot absorb the loss. While the principle can work on a personal or family level it’s true power can be found when applied to businesses and governments. It has been proven that the larger the entity the more powerful the effect.

This principle was discovered by Michael McKenzie in North Carolina during late 2008. Oddly enough Mr. McKenzie had not discovered any other “principles” but was world renowned for being an excellent example of the Peter Principle.

Hey...that would be a corollary...not a part of the original principle.

Hey Mike, I'm thinking about buying a new boat now. Does MCOC provide financing? ;)

Uh ohh!! we have a problem here  there's already a McKenzie Principle :(

Subjects who received treatment according to the McKenzie principle 5 years earlier had significantly less recurrence of pain and fewer were on sick leave

They're kinda the same right? both are meant to relieve pain?

I thought this was part of the McKenzie Principle,

The Sales Pitch,
You cannot afford anything, but with McKenzie as your first line of attack, it will save you time and money, buy a MasterCraft!!

The UMP Procedure,
By learning how to self-treat the current problem, patients gain hands-on knowledge on how to minimize the risk of recurrence and to rapidly deal with recurrence if it occurs. The likelihood of problems persisting can more likely be prevented through self maintenance.
Treatment is based on the concept that a therapist or clinician cannot do for a patient, with one treatment per day, what the patient can do for themselves ten times per day. Most patients can successfully treat themselves when provided the necessary knowledge and tools.

That's what I've been saying all along, you have to have the right tools

[I]McKenzie Principle (founded late 2008) states: The more you owe the less likely you are to fail.

Is that anything like "The hurrieder I go, the behinder I get"?

I mentioned the Peter Principle to a former boss in conversation and he asked, "Are you talking about me?" Of course, I said no, but he must have had a guilty conscience, or he might not have thought I referred to him. IMO, the only reason he worked there for so long is that the VP of all service departments is married to his sister.

Hey Mike, I'm thinking about buying a new boat now. Does MCOC provide financing? ;)

No doubt, I am trading the '95 Prostar 190 for an '09 Prostar 197 first thing Monday morning. I like this McKenzie Principle thing. So after I buy my new boat I just never make the payments, then somebody will bail me out. Is that how it works?

Here is the scoop. These aren't really bailouts. Obama got elected now he has to pay the bill. The owners and executives of these businesses agreed to support him for later "consideration". They play a little accounting magic on the financial statements, devalue some assets, lower the ratings on a few loans and presto they are in financial trouble and need government "loans" to save the day. In swoops Obama and his boys and the trips to Hawaii are back on. What we need is a non profit entity that the government can pump money into and will provide much needed social reform. Something like reemployment training. We could start a school for mechanics. Of course we will need government funding for a "few" boats for the students, a lake for testing, a facility to teach in and a staff (any applicants) to run it. And it will take time to get it all organzed so if we get say $50 million we should be able to start graduating students by 2013. And just to be fair, executive compensation will be limited to a meager $1,000,000 per year with no bonuses.

Break the unions and auto problems are solved. That will not happen under the new idiot so we will bail for a while the money they are talking about will only last 6mo.at current loss rates so its only a matter of when not if they fail. The unions have broken the back of the industry.

When I read about forgiving credit card debt as a soulution to our problems of late. I almost hit the ceiling about that one, reward the irresponsible. Now that I have lived within my means for decades, saved what I can, have no debt to speak of, everything will be a level playing field.
Kiss my A$$ government if you let that one through. I will be gone to Mexico, Spain or somewhere (not here) and just try to collect my income tax for the last year in you little socialist state.
