My back seat has no tares in it but has come up from the base under the cushion. There are staples in the vinyl. Is this something easy to replace by pulling inside the house getting it warmed up and pulling down on the vinyl and just staple it back? Or will it require a seat overhaul? Stainless or Galvanized staples?

Stainless staples. Are they staples coming out, or is the vineyl coming apart?

Staples coming out, no tears in the vinyl

I'd just do like you say, warm it up, staple it back down.

I thought about putting a strip of lattece type wood in there as backing and screwing it down, then staple to it... treated of course :0

Then the seat won't sit down right will it? If the wood in the seat has gone bad, I'd replace the parts of the seat that aren't good.

Thanks Flipper, I will dig in and let you know what I find this weekend.

You can check to see if the wood is still in decent shape. I just redid my side panels in the Tristar last spring. I imagine your seat has a few less staples. I'd pull them all out, replace the wood if necessary with some new stuff and restaple with stainless staples. I picked them up at Home Depot. Good luck!
