My man Farmer popped the question  and she(Nikki) said yes, of course! I already have the Best Man deal under control, but Farmer will need some Groomsmen. I need to know who is coming for the Bachelor Party, we might ski during that event.

P.S. You can send all wedding gifts and cash to the Wildman, PM me for the the address.

And yes, I told Farmer I was letting the cat out of the bag :uglyhamme !

Congrats to you Farmer and the soon-to-be Mrs. Farmer!

Just hope this doesn't turn into another one of those "she went out for a morning ski set and never came back" stories. Better keep an eye on Greyhounds arriving in Albuquerque the week before the big event. ;)

For sure, right now it looks like we'll be up there towards the end of July. My mom's meeting my in Joplin so I can drop off the little terror I mean darling little angel so she can spend the summer with the family.

Do you guys go out on the river or Saylorville? Isn't there a lake over on the east side with a ski club? I remember seeing that when I lived in Altoona

MrsJMT
05-06-2005, 07:16 PM
Don't know about the ski club or a lake on this side of town; Jim used to ski at Gray's Lake when he was a kid but they don't allow motors there anymore. We normally go to Rathbun, down by Chariton. We only go out on Saylorville on rare occasions and only during the week-it's just TOO busy.

Back in the fall of '92 before I started the World Tour we were on the river every day, awesome water but the launch is not in the best hood. There used to be a club that had a hoist, don't know if it's still there.
My dad keeps a pontoon boat out at Big Creek and I told him one time that it would be worth the fine to get the Prostar out there.

MrsJMT
05-06-2005, 07:55 PM
Jim says it was probably Pickle Beach, out around Vandalia; the guy who owned it went bankrupt several years ago. He can't think of any ski clubs left in town. They (Jim's family) skied the river all the time in the 70s and 80s, but it's changed so much with all the construction going on I'd hate to hit debris out there now.
The Prostar would probably outrun the DNR, don't you think??
