A friend of mine fell onto my platform the other day and broke one of my brackets. It is the bracket that connects to the boat, not the one on the platform.

Boat is a 2001 X-Star (205V, X1, etc...)

My "local" dealer can get the part not problem, but I have to buy the entire kit, which includes all 2 boat brackets and 2 platform brackets. I only need the one part, and was hoping someone may have had a similar experience and still have a bracket left over, or even a good old one if you replaced them all.

Please let me know if anyone has any of these brackets. Thanks.....

Got a pic?

I have fixed and made my own in the past. I made these that attach to the platform. The other bracket can possibly be repaired?

Looks good! I don't have a pic here at work, I'll try to get one later.

Not sure if it can be repaired, at least easily. Because the bolts have to line back up on the transom, there is not much room to get a solid weld on the part. And the inside would be difficult because I don't think you can get in there to grind the welds back flush.

I checked with the company Harold recommended called alloymarine and he told me each platform bracket was $283 if I recall correctly. I paused and said well okay then I'll be making my own and did for 30 bucks worth of aluminum and 5 hours of machining and tigging.

Here is that old thread http://www.mastercraft.com/teamtalk/showthread.php?t=25662&highlight=platform+bracket

Here is the OJ Version TTU refers to...

Thanks, I have an email in to OJ Props now, we'll see what they say.

I have no problems buying from the MC dealer, but I thought I would at least ask around to see if I could buy just the part I need, and not the rest. Maybe save a little $ in the process.

The folding platform is cool, but I really have no need for that. Space is not an issue when storing, and I doubt I would ever fold it down.

I would be interested in the platform brackets for the right price... (as long as they are the same as a 2001 ps190) pm me if you end up with the whole set.

I have both parts that go on the platform itself, and one of the boat brackets left. I would be willing to sell them if it would help someone.

Fintek9, looks like you may need the whole set, but let me know if you want what I have left.

http://www.alloymarine.com/qrs.shtml can probably hook you up with the bracket bases.

I know what Tim was doing on that platform to cause that big of a failure but this is a family site.

Tim,
Did you lose my number?

I'm looking for a new bracket as well. Anyone have an extra they can part with? Thanks.
