It's market value will be a certainty in a matter of days. A boat is only worth what someone will pay for it. 1/3. That's cool! I wonder which # Fleth 'n' Me's boat is?

If anyone seriously wants this boat, let us know. And don't bid until the end as all it does now is create opportunity to reup a proxy bid and run up the price.

There are two of those boats in Belgium.
The first one, was used in skishows. I did jump one time over a skiramp.
The other was never used.
Now they are both at service to put flowers in.

MarkP
05-04-2005, 12:23 PM
Doug I donít think that is really an issue until the reserve is met. I donít want it, well maybe this cheap, yes but you can be reasonably sure at 500 its not near the reserve..

I do agree though if someone wants it, sound off and I wont go for it even if its cheap..

Brian, I donít know?? Jump it maybe:confused:

We'll see, I just think it would be fun, and probably give me more chances to go boating since I could easily take it out myself or with my girlfriend when we can't get ski partners together. I won't spend a lot though, if there is some crazy collector out there willing to spend a lot, it's theirs!

I question whether there were really only six made. Maybe six for the Tommy Bartlet shows but I know that Marine World in Redwood City CA used to have at least 4 of these boats at their waterski show in the 80's. If I remember correctly theirs had a red stripe. And it seems as if there may have been at least a few in Europe as well. No matter how many were actually made they are very cool. Would be fun to take out on an evening joyride.

Anyone at MasterCraft care to enlighten us here on the board as to how many were actually built?

You never see them for sale, and if you do a seach on the net, they don't come up at all. It's probably a blessing in disguise for me if the price goes above my limit, because I really don't need it! I would like to know how many are really out there though. It would definitley make a good conversation piece.

The one thing I was wondering is how well the hulls held up to the jumping. I know jet skis don't age well if they are jumped a lot.

I'm also betting this guy from Knoxville (close to the TB Show in Pigeon Forge, TN) acquired that boat from the TB Show when they went out of business.

I'd love to see somebody on the board win it, too. In the interest of keeping the price down, and considering that the reserve has been met, I'll just throw this back out there. When you bid before the last moments of the auction, you're doing no more than enticing others to outbid you so they can see their name next to the "high bidder" label. If you want to drive the price up, far be it from me to stop you. Have at it. But if your goal is to win an item for the lowest price, just throw it on your watch list and drop your proxy bid in when there are a couple of minutes left. You still may be outbid, but it doesn't allow people the chance to reup their proxies if you do outbid them.

I'm not in on this one, but it's just my $.02. If anybody wants to bid $.03, you will be the high bidder until I come back with $.04. ;)

Whether there is really 3 left on the planet or not, it is still very very rare and pretty darn cool. We are a bunch of MC geeks and we've all never seen one for sale and we're oogling over it. Someone is going to get a cool boat *and* a bit of MC history/nostalgia.

I am just curious if a little 35hp outboard is what was used to jump it? Its been a while since I've been in a boat with anything that small but I thought a 35 wouldn't get going too fast?

Hey Erk,

I am about to put my 1994 Barefoot 200 on the market. Awesome boat, excellent condition! 200hp Yamaha ProV engine. About 300 hours. MC trailer, bimini, cover, etc. Red/White color scheme. 60mph+ top end speed. Great wakeboard/slalom boat. I am going to be asking $11,900 obo for it. Let me know if you have any interest. tjscott919@aol.com or call me at 407-230-6748

went for more than i was willing to go. i had a cool plan to get it though. I am sure there is enough active members on this site that live across the US so this is what i thought we could do. We relay the boat to me from Tennessee to California. First person picks it up in Knoxville and keeps for a week or so . You use it , take pictures and share them and the stories with the board. Then you drive the boat to the next person. They do the same and so on and so on until it made its way to me in California. would have been fun!

MCPS205
05-11-2005, 01:18 AM

I'd like to have had it but I drew the line at $1850. I think it went for $2400. I lived about 25 miles from the boat's location which is what I was liking...
