Figured I'd put the plasma cutter to work.

Wife, Charlie (my 4-year old), and I drew our critters and pumpkins on some scrap sheetmetal while my 1-year old was napping.

Miller Spectrum 625 in action. Makes short work of cutting pretty much anything metal.

All cut out and ready for the next step.

Over to the drill press for some holes to hang 'em with. My big guy manning the machine.

My gut instinct was to leave 'em raw so they'd rust and patina, but the wife and kiddo wanted to paint them. Some Chevy orange did a nice job for the pumpkins. The bat got some semi-flat black, and the ghost got the grey primer.

Fun little project. My boy loves power tools. What kid doesn't?

I like it! :) Great idea. :) Inspires me to do something different this year instead of the usual pumpkin carving.
