hey guys im looking for a place to rent next weekend on lake travis. we took the aluminum boat out today to see if the water was safe to ski in after hurricane ike. it looks like it will be awhile, water smelt like hydrocarbons, and tons of snakes and gators.. i would like to ski one more time before it starts to get cold. any suggestions?

Where do you go mostly???? LT is great. Check out VRBO.com

It stands for Vacation Rental By Owner. Navigate to Lake Travis and then you can even get more detailed than that...AND you are not "in season" right now.

Turbo has it right, look at the condos at briarcliff, you will be in good ski water this time of year very close. Sommerville is a cool place water just gets too hot mid summer. Most times you can find boardable water somewhere.

Don't know the new name but there are some condos in Lago Vista.

The Shores. That would be an option also.
